We are often asked this question within a circle of
friends, what would you do with a million dollars if you had them? My answer would always look like : 30% to charity , 30% to
children's funds, and 30% i would spend it on whatever I want. My current question is, what if i
dont want anything? what if I
dont want anything that i want to buy for myself. But what i want is my loved ones to buy for me (and that list is never ending)? Is that selfish? Not that I am a millionaire but i sometimes wonder, does it make a difference if I had bought the
Cartier watch or my loved ones have?! Is it the
possession of the good, or is it the sentiment behind it? I am not trying to prove to anyone what my status is by having those goods, so they need to show some value and as the monetary value is out of the window. I would say the sentimental value is what matters. But that simply means, I
dont want to be a millionaire, i want people around me to be millionaires and spend their money on me?! that sounds funny even typing it. Brand acquisition something I have been thinking about for quiet a while, why in some societies in some circles if you
dont put your child into the latest brand for the next gathering you would seem less than the others, while in other circles it
doesnt matter( although we have corrected for yearly income)? Why is it always sensitive to discuss financial issues with people?
